The index of infrastructure development determines availability of infrastructure facilities and level of their development in regions.

Regions

Determination of infrastructure development index for regions includes determination of subindicators:

- availability of SEZ, IZ, BI and technology parks;

- number of trade points in the markets, laboratories of veterinary sanitary inspection, cooling chambers;

- granary capacity, seed warehouses, greenhouses, cereal receiving stations and elevators;

- availability and the area of maintenance stationary points, repair stations for agricultural equipment. 

Subindicators are standardized from 0 to 1 and summarized taking into account the weight of each indicator. Weight has been disposed taking into account economical specialization of the region.

Astana city and Almaty city

Determination of infrastructure development index includes a defined set of integrated indicators: education sector index, an index in the field of tourism and culture, an index of service infrastructure, an index of transport infrastructure.

Each of integrated indicators combines several subindicators:

- education sector index (number of colleges and career schools, higher educational establishments with indication of establishment number,  included in the international ratings);

- an index in the field of tourism and culture (number of hotels, libraries, theaters and museums);

- an index of service infrastructure (availability and number of SEZ, IZ, BI);

- an index of transport infrastructure (extention of highways, number of bus routes, tram routes, trolleybus routes, airport capacity, a passenger traffic in the subway, the number of Internet access providers).

For putting of basic data in a single format the subindicator values have been standardized.
